★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 2013年に芝草平を経て屏風岳まで登山するつもりでしたが、芝草平までの往復になってしまいました。北蔵王と比べて高山植物が多い南蔵王ですが、8月初旬ではチングルマは既に終わりでした。ただし穂となったチングルマの大群生。キンコウカが見頃、イワショウブも。途中の登山道では咲き残りのハクサンシャクナゲ、ミヤマシャジンなど。芝草平自体は少々乾燥化しているようですが、途中で眺められる、登山道がない場所の高層湿原の俯瞰が美しいです。

Hakusan rhododendron, Miyayama shajin etc. which remain on the mountain trail on the way.
