This pleasant restaurant does not disappoint when it comes to slurply good ramens and udons made with local produce!
Try the flat'n thick udon with forest mushroom tempura and mountain vegetables!
You won't regret the colourful mix of texture and flavour!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great grilled fish. We had the fresh catch of the day and it was superb. The soba was voluminous and satisfying. The service and atmosphere were amazing with the Mount Fuji in the background. One thing, they forgot my Ebi Tempura :( but we are satisfied.
If you are really hungry. It might be better to not get oomori(big size), but just order another if you are hungry after eating. Some weren’t able to finish if and would’ve been ok with the normal size.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A nice soba restaurant by the centre of Oshino Hakkai. They're most famous for the soba noodles which uses the local wheat. I got the udon as well which was very al dente which I never experienced in Japan. It was unique in its own way but stick with soba, order udon if it intrigues you.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Late post, I had grilled fish with white rice here for lunch when I visited Oshino Hakkai back in April 2018. It was simply seasoned with salt grilled fish but it was superb! Fish was really fresh! And appreciate that the menu has english translations in it to cater for tourists.
