This is the furthest West from Fuji you can get yoshida no udon, a local specialty. They're mainly open at lunch (as most yoshida no udon places are) so I don't recommend trying any other time. Excellent food and service! A real local hang out. No English menu. I like to get the tempura, it's very fresh.
B	Bert Collin on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Toughest noodles I've ever chewed. Yes, they warned me the cold noodles were tougher than the warm ones. But my girlfriend had the warm ones and even they were easily the toughest udon noodles I had tried. The cold ones were a chore. I spent 45 minutes there trying to chomp them down, and left bloated and full. Jaw muscles hurt for days. If this is your thing, go ahead and try, but I really recommend going for the warm ones since they're more or less chewable. I'm just so impressed with the toughness that I'm giving it three stars.
