★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 田園調布古墳群の一つ。多摩川浅間神社が古墳の上に建っている。二度にわたる発掘調査により社殿がある場所が後円部、社殿裏から東横線にかけて前方部が存在していた。社殿改築の際、5世紀末から6世紀前半にかけての人物埴輪や動物埴輪などが出土しました。この古墳は、全長60メートルの前方後円墳と推定され、「浅間神社古墳」と呼ばれます。
多摩川浅間神社はそのことに一切触れていない。
One of the countryside Chofu burial mounds. Tamagawa Asama Shrine is built on an old burial mound. Two excavations revealed that the shrine was located in the rear circle and the front part from the back of the shrine to the Toyoko Line. During the renovation of the shrine, human and animal mingles were excavated from the end of the 5th century to the first half of the 6th century. This old burial mound is estimated to be a 60m-long front-end circular burial mound and is called "Asama Shrine burial mound".
Tama River Asama Shrine does not mention that at all.

途中にある富士塚っぽいやつが古墳(富士塚も)好きとして興味をそそられる。
しかし見晴台からの眺めは雄大だった。
