飛火野園地や片岡梅園よりも少し低い地形にあるため、周辺からも檜皮葺の六角形の御堂〜浮見堂が見受けられ、思わず足を運びたくなります。
鷺池周囲から浮見堂を眺めるもよし、浮見堂から鷺池の全景を眺めるもよし。
水面に青空を映す晴れた日には、なお素晴らしい景観が望めます。

桜の季節も紅葉の季節も最高の癒し処です。大雨の後に土砂が流入したりすると後片付けが大変ですが公園管理の方が毎日巡回して下さっています。
