★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 公園の先端まで行くと信濃川の曲がりくねった川が見えて、長距離ドライブの心を癒やしてくれる
その手前を見ると、公園の芝生が佐渡ヶ島、周りが日本海を模した配置になっている
その手前の目立たないところに記念碑が有った。 昭和57年3月関越自動車道の越後川口～長岡間が開通し、それに繋がる自動車道総延長が3000ｋｍになった記念碑だそうだ
当時の躍進ぶりがこんなところにも有ったのかと、感慨深い
When you reach the tip of the park, you can see the winding river of the Shinano River, which heals the heart of long-distance driving.
Looking in front of it, the lawn of the park is Sado Island, and the surrounding area is arranged to imitate the Sea of Japan.
There was a monument in an inconspicuous place in front of it. It is said that it is a monument where the section between Echigo-Kawaguchi and Nagaoka on the Kan-Etsu Expressway was opened in March 1982, and the total length of the expressway connected to it became 3000 km.
I am deeply impressed that there was a breakthrough at that time in such a place.
