Ryoma Hill - the grave of Sakamoto Ryoma and 1042 comrades of him are here. Ryoma was a samurai that became an active opponent of the Tokugawa Shogunate. Ryoma advocated for democracy, Japanese nationalism, return of power to the Imperial Court, abolition of feudalism, and moderate modernization and indusyrialization of Japan.

The eight policies he put forward in the ship, which emphasized the return of power to the emperor's court, and envisaged the establishment of a new state power system centered on the emperor, also became an important guideline for the Meiji government to carry out the Meiji Restoration Movement.
It is a steep stairs and it ’s hard. Did Ryoma go up in secret conversations?

On November 18, 1867, this slope was the "Funeral Procession of the Bakumatsu Shishi", which was the funeral procession of Ryoma Sakamoto and Shintaro Nakaoka by Kaientai and Land Supporters. I came at her request. It's a narrow path from Ninenzaka to Reimyo Shrine, but be prepared for it because the slope is extremely steep and difficult. She was also breathless without the power at the end of the Edo period (laughs) It is said that the Kaientai and Land Supporters climbed this slope with the casket of Ryoma Sakamoto and Shintaro Nakaoka, but I think it was quite difficult.

The road that is said to have carried the body of Ryoma Sakamoto. The slope becomes steeper as you go up the hill At the end, the slope is close to that of mountain climbing. I climbed here with a large Ryoma on my back Shishi would have been hard, etc. I climbed while indulging in my thoughts.

Very steep slope. The slope that carried the bodies of Ryoma Sakamoto and Shintaro Nakaoka at the funeral. After going to Ryoma's grave, I got off from above. When you go down, you will reach Ninen-zaka.

■ Ryoma Hill A slope near Kyoto Gokoku Shrine. A slope that runs from Ninen-zaka to the eastern Ishin-no-michi in the west. A slope that climbs steep east. It is impossible to drive. A stone pillar monument is built on the way. ● The road where Ryoma's casket was actually carried. Perhaps it was Ryoma's human virtue, it seems that he was buried through a slope in the place where there were many tombstones of the Choshu clan. Immediately after the restoration, Gokoku Shrine was set up as a memorial service for many dead scholars. A slope with a sad name for some reason. It's a road that the dead went through. It's not the slope that Ryoma walked. However, the dragon of his wife would have shared a coffin, and he would have visited this slope several times to visit the grave. ¡I think it was okay to have "Oryuzaka".

Simply put, I carried the body of Ryoma Sakamoto. It's a road. The grave goes up the stairs It's not the graveyard in this stone monument because it's down to the left!
