After coming out of the sacred store and looking down, the corridor looked like a dragon and looked cool.

It is named because the roof resembles a dragon's back. It seems that Nee was petite, and the stairs are getting loose accordingly.

Very nice garden

From the outside, the tiled roof looks like a dragon scale and the dragon seems to climb the mountain surface. It was specially released on a winter trip in Kyoto in 2017, and I climbed inside and went to the sacred store. There is a staircase to the graveyard at the top of the Wolong corridor, and I imagined that Nene was passing through it and visiting the rank of Hideyoshi.

It is a covered corridor that connects Hojo and the Mausoleum, and is named after the roof that resembles the back of a dragon. The total length is about 60 meters and it is usually not possible to pass, but there are times when it can be passed by special exhibition.

After the death of Toyotomi Hideyoshi, Kodaiji Temple was founded in 1606 by Hideyoshi Seishitsu and Kitaseisho (Nene, Kodai-in after the priesthood) to mourn the bodhi. It is said that the buildings such as the Buddhist temple, the small living quarters, and the small living quarters were relocated from Hideyoshi and the palace of the Kitaseisho, but most of them were destroyed by two big fires, and the current kuri and main hall were in the Meiji and Taisho eras. It was rebuilt. The Kaisan-do of the former Mochibutsudo, the sacred house (Otamaya) where Hideyoshi and the Kitaseisho are enshrined, the Kasatei / Shigure-tei, the front gate, and the Kangetsudai, which are tea rooms in the Momoyama period, are designated as national important cultural properties. Known as a famous place for Hagi, this temple has a pond strolling garden with a view of Higashiyama centered on the east and west ponds of Kaisan-do, and Kobori, a masterpiece gardener who was active during the Momoyama period and a disciple of Sen no Rikyu. It was designed by Enshu and was designated as a national historic site and scenic spot in 1927. Enshu had a particularly good reputation for stonework and arrangement, and was good at it, so the Kodaiji Garden is a garden with a gorgeous atmosphere that is typical of the Momoyama period, where his true essence was fully demonstrated. It is thought that the appearance of the past is well maintained, and the beauty of nature that changes with the seasons is developed. Hideyoshi's beloved Kangetsudai is located in the Rosenro, which spans the Engetsuchi between the Shoin and Kaisando, and from here the Hokuseisho looked at the moon in memory of the late Hideyoshi. Says. Kameshima in the north and Tsurushima in the cape in the south are made of stunning stonework in Kogetsu Pond. To the east of Kaisando, a corridor, Garyorou, which is said to look like a dragon, spans Garyochi and leads to the sacred house. It is a pity that the waterfall from Higashiyama and Kikutani in the background has withered and the waterfall flow of the past can not be seen now, but it seems that it was a magnificent garden integrated with Higashiyama. However, the appearance of the garden is almost the same as it was about 400 years ago when Kodaiji Temple was built, and it is wonderful that you can still enjoy the scenery that Nene actually saw.
