A lord of Fukuoka Kuroda Nagamasa built this temple for his father Josui ( also called Kanbei ). Kuroda Kanbei was a general of a troop of Hideyosi. They used to form a matchless troop together with Takenaka Hanbei. They were praised as "twin soldiers of bei's " 黒田官兵衛とは竹中半兵衛と双璧をなす豊臣秀吉の参謀(軍師)であり「両兵衛」とも「二兵衛」とも称された。 There are tombs of successive generation of emperors. But Prince Nagahito's tomb is in Sen-nyuji temple because he was later given another title as an emperor. Ryoukou-in has four national treasures. Out of those there are three works of calligraphy. Among them, Mittankanketsu is the only existing of Bokuseki calligraphy. And there is a floor called Mittan-doko to decorate its Calligraphy in full length in this drawing room . Another one is a tea bowl named Youhen tenmoku tyawan. Existing three tea bowls are designated as national treasures.
A lord of Fukuoka Kuroda Nagamasa built this temple for his father Josui (also called Kanbei). The great lord of Fukuoka, Nagamasa Kuroda, was erected as a father temple of Josui (Kanbei). Kuroda Kanbei was a general of a troop of Hideyosi. They used to form a matchless troop together with Takenaka Hanbei. They were praised as "twin soldiers of bei's" Kuroda Kanbei is the staff (military) of Toyotomi Hideyoshi, who is the same as Takenaka Hanbei, and was also called “Ryobe” and “Fujibei”. There are tombs of successive generation of emperors. But Prince Nagahito's tomb is in Sen-nyuji temple because he was later given another title as an emperor. There are historical tombs of Takamatsu and Arisugawa. However, since the second generation, Ryohito Ryojin, became Emperor Gosai, there is a grave at Sengakuji Temple. Ryoukou-in has four national treasures.Out of those there are three works of calligraphy. Among them, Mittankanketsu is the only existing of Bokuseki calligraphy. And there is a floor called Mittan-doko to decorate its Calligraphy in full length in this drawing room . There are 4 national treasures at Ryukoin, 3 of which are “calligraphy” (the other 2 are “Saisen Ryokan” and “Dai Kyoku Zen Gokin”). In particular, the ink brush of Mittan Kanketsu ("Bokuseki" is a term that refers to the handwriting of Zen Buddhist monks) is the only ink brush that is still in existence in the Shoin School. There is a secret floor for decorating. Another one is a tea bowl named Youhen tenmoku tyawan. Existing three tea bowls are designated as national treasures. There are large and small spots on the top of the bowl, and a scarlet or iridescent glow surrounds it. When the light is applied to the inside of the bowl, the rainbow of seven colors is reflected. All three existing points are designated as national treasures.

Here is one of the only three in the world, the Otomu Tenme Cha-don. But this temple is a visit apology. There is nothing but to watch at an art exhibition etc. on a certain occasion. Other than that, there is also a national treasure, the tea room and Mittan.
