★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Similar experience as Luna-tic bear. On solo travel and went to Rokumonya for dinner, but was not able to eat here as it was “full” (there was several seats at the bar, and I was by myself). Do not recommend this restaurant for travelers to Tokyo.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The wait for this place was quite long on a Sunday night, but the staff were very upfront about the wait time and offered to call us when they were ready. We were offered English menus to order from. My pork okonomiyaki order took significantly longer than my friends green onion okonomiyaki order but it ended up being very worth it. They add shrimp and some kind of sauce to their cabbage in addition to the usual stuff and the longer cooking time means the cabbage gets a lot softer and sweeter than usual. I'd say this is some of the best okonomiyaki I've had, definitely rivaling any place in Osaka.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Was hungry for some food and went on a whim around 7pm to try an okonomiyaki place that was close by and was not a cook it yourself place. I'm not sure what exactly happened, but my friend and I went down the stairs (its in the basement floor) and immediately a waitress saw us when we entered and was ushering us right back out the door and at the same time saying "no, full, sorry" (I think that's what she was saying, her accent was quite thick). I was confused at first and tried asking for seating for two, but now she was physically ushering us out the door, repeating the same phrase. There was definitely a "waiting" area right by the door, but she didnt even offer that as an option to wait. As soon as she basically kicked us out the door, she promptly shut the door behind us. It was pretty darn rude, and I must say the first negative experience I've had in Japan thus far. This is my first time here in this wonderful country, but that left a bad taste in my mouth. The restaurant closes at midnight, so I am not sure what happened...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A great experience, and unlike most okonomiyaki I’ve tried. The portion is thick and the taste is outstanding. As others have mentioned, you will have to wait for your order. You can order some smaller items while you wait, as the cook is always moving and making dishes. The staff was friendly as well. I recommend checking this place out.
