★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Most execellent izakaya (Japanese watering hole). The food they serve is almost all seafood. From the raw sashimi to deep fried fish to baked clams. It's all good and definitely worth a visit. I was there 7pm on a Wednesday and the place was packed. So get there early. They have good selection of local sake and shochu drinks.
The staff is very helpful but is English challenged. They have English menu but that's missing all the daily specials, which makes up most of the available food items. So go with a friend or a local guide.
Best of all, place is smoke free, a rarity in Tokyo. They take visa and master cards.
If you are visiting the Shinjuku area, this place is most recommended, provided you can get a local friend to go with you.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Language is a challenge here. Been here a few times, the food is great. But be aware that this branch is not really geared up for non-Japanese speakers. I've seen some pics online of English menus at other branches, they are not here. The one time when I was not with a Japanese speaker, it was a little challenging, as the menus don't have pics, so it was a combination of pointing to what other people were eating and some food pics others had posted online. That said, it is very good food, and a nice ambiance. One of their signature dishes is the piled up combo of crab, minced tuna, eggs and sea urchin on top of a few rolls of sushi. It is very good, and recommended. I would return, even without a Japanese speaker, but be more prepared to navigate the language challenge. (smartphones are a wonderful thing).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great sushi and other traditional and innovative dishes. They now have english version of the menu - limited to fraction of the full menu, but good selection. Service is great. waitress spoke english. It's upstairs on the 2nd floor. Google map directions are accurate. Highly recommended it.
