★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I got the beef tongue curry. It was too much food for me to eat, as it also came with soup and salad. The staff were very friendly and helped me with my coat and luggage and gave me a menu with pictures and foreign languages including English.

We found that it was not as good as the other restaurant that we tried (still very good) meat was a bit tougher and not cooked as evenly.
Had to wait in line for 20minutes as it is at the main station.

The set was 1782 yen which came with pickled vegetables, 6 pieces of beef tongue, a soup, a bowl of rice, a small bowl of stir-fried vegetables and of course barley tea. My only thing would be that it's a little expensive, but it is a local delicacy and what they're known for. Similar to chewy steak and good to try to know.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you can get past the fact you’re eating cow tongue, it’s actually quite well done here. Verdict: good. I’m not a fan of it, but gyotan is a specialty of Sendai and should be experienced at least once by the foodie tourist. It is chewy and has an unusual texture which might not agree with some, but is tasty. They ran out of the daily special so I went with the beef tongue set in the regular menu. Value: not so good/on the pricy side.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good beef tongue with chewy and tasty. I also recommend beef stew which is amazingly good. A special cut is too thick to chew so I prefer a normal one.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is in the station inside the 牛タン通り, so its very convenient if you have less time to enjoy the sendai delicacy. I got the basic set meal. Taste was fairly good. The salmon tataki was very good. Service was good. Only downside was the restaurant is crammed. They have proper preventive measures for corona. The workers were properly disinfecting every menu and even the chairs after every use.
