あ	あとり on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 21年9月20日に訪れました。境内には2000株のぼたんがあり、「ぼたん寺」として有名ですが、今回は萩の花を見に行きました。萩の花はちょうどよい時期に行くことが出来ました。長岡京遷都後まもなく、藤原種継の暗殺事件の首謀者として、桓武天皇の実弟・早良親王が捕らえられ、『乙訓寺』に幽閉されました。親王は無実を訴えましたが、淡路島へ流罪となる途中で恨みながら絶命したと伝えられています。親王の死後、桓武天皇のまわりに不幸や天災が次々と起こり、親王の祟りを恐れた桓武天皇は平安京へ遷都しました。『乙訓寺』は早良親王ゆかりの地で、早良親王の供養塔があります。青モミジがあちこちにあり、紅葉の時期にも行ってみたいと思っています。 I visited on September 20, 2009.
