★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 土塁のみ残っている。とても綺麗に整備されております。公園という名称ですが遊ぶスペースはありません。
あくまで土塁公園です。隣接のマンションのロビーに開田城の復元模型とパンフレットがありました。貴重な歴史遺産を後世に保存していこうという男気を激しく感じた次第。よきかな。
Only the earthwork remains. It is in very good condition. It's called a park, but there is no play space.
It is just the basement park. There was a restored model of Kaita Castle and a pamphlet in the lobby of the adjacent condominium. As soon as I felt the morale to preserve the precious historical heritage for future generations. Is it good?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 一見マンションの緑地帯かと思う土堤が中世豪族中小路氏の居館、開田城の土塁。大木が一本だけ伸びていて、趣がある。2003年のエスリード長岡天神建設の時に綺麗に整備して、南東隅の土塁だけを残しておいたようだ。ベンチも置いてあり、近所の人の休憩スペースみたいになっていた。
最初の発掘が1978年、次が1996年というが、1978年の時点で長岡天神のほぼ駅前に、中世豪族の方形居館の土塁がはっきりと残っていたのであろうか…おせじにもメジャーではない小豪族の居館が、戦後30年以上も長岡京駅前で都市化されず残っていたなら、大したものだと思う。東京近辺では考え辛い…
