★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 和田得中は越後の大名家臣でしたが、享保2年(1717年)に鳥取藩に召し抱えられ、藩命により福部細川池干拓に従事しながら享保4年(1719年)から大谷干拓を開始し指導に当たり、それから19年間、孫の忠太夫と共に事業を進め元文元年(1736年)に没します。
「和田得中 碑」は三代目(孫)和田忠太夫が建てた記念碑で地蔵さまに造られています。随分と暗いのでどちらが正面なのか暫くわかりません。入口に向いているのは石碑の正面でなく向かって左側が入口正面を向いています。
石碑正面に(和田得中)とあり、石碑の上部に厚手の頭巾が被せられ、地蔵さまにも頭巾が丁重に被せられています。確認していませんが、台座の右側に(元文二年 和田得中)とあるそうです。
地元の人は昔から「得中」を「えっちゅう」と呼び読んでいるそうです。
石碑を覆う室内はきれいに掃き清められて佇んでいます。
「和田得中 碑」は(穴観音)の境内真横に建っています。
Tokuchu Wada was a vassal retainer of Echigo, but he was called to the Tottori domain in 1717 by Kyoho, and while he was engaged in the reclamation of the Fukube Hosokawa pond by his domain, he was in Otani from 419 (1719). After commencing reclamation and teaching, for the next 19 years, he and his grandson, Tadayu, proceeded with business and died in 1736.
The "Wada Tokunaka Monument" is a memorial monument built by the third generation (son) Tadada Wada, and is built by Jizo. It's so dark that I don't know for a while which one is the front. The front of the stone monument is not facing the entrance, but the left side is facing the front of the entrance.
There is (Wada Tokunaka) on the front of the stone monument, and a thick hood is put on the upper part of the stone monument, and the hood is also politely covered by Jizo. Although I have not confirmed it, it seems that it is on the right side of the pedestal (Tanaka in Wada, 2nd year of the original sentence).
The locals have long read "Takachu" as "ecchu."
The room covering the stone monument is swept clean and standing.
The "Wada Tokunaka Monument" is located right next to the precincts of (Anon Kannon).
