Nothing says Osaka like good teppanyaki cooking! This place, which specializes in such, is great value for money and a Michelin Bib Gourmand for a reason.
The Damage: JPY 5-7k per person
Ambience: Small dark 5-6 table restaurant with a teppanyaki bar for those who like to watch the action

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Delicious food at a reasonable price for a nice dinner out. We got the set menu with 8 courses including the wagyu beef. The chef and staff and friendly and welcoming. The head chef takes a lot of care in the preparation and plating it's like art.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Our favorite restaurant we went to in Japan — so good we came back for a second time. The tenderloin was absolutely amazing. Also really liked the yakisoba with yakiniku sauce, house special okonomiyaki, and the mushrooms. They ran out of asparagus both times we got there but it looked amazing as well.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Up the stairs on a side street and you will be delighted by a small restaurant serving delicious food and drinks. Staff were very helpful even when we couldn't speak Japanese. This was our last night in Tokyo and we wish we found it sooner.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What a fantastic way to end our time in Japan. Sitting at the counter asking the waitress a million questions that were answered with such grace. The steak was phenomenal, okonomiyaki hit the mark and we regret not ordering the asparagus that we watched being prepared. Japan you’re a beautiful people. And we have so much to learn
