西武グループの創業者が滋賀県の出身で、近江鉄道は西武グループなので、関西なのに西武ライオンズのラッピングが施されています。
駅前には、イオンショッピングセンターがあってとても便利だと思います。
 It is a connecting station between the JR Biwako Line and the Ohmi Railway.
The founder of the Seibu Group is from Shiga Prefecture, and the Ohmi Railway is the Seibu Group, so even though it is in the Kansai region, Seibu Lions are wrapped.
I think it is very convenient to have an AEON shopping center in front of the station.

観光地である八幡山まではかなり遠く、歩くと30分ほどかかるのでタクシーを使った方が良いですよ
As the name suggests, it is the central station of Omi Hachiman.
It is quite far to the tourist spot, Mt. Hachiman, and it takes about 30 minutes to walk, so it is better to take a taxi.
