Lake Biwa is the tip of the eyes and nose. If you come to Ono Seiko Shrine, Onomichi Kaze Shrine, Sano Dental Clinic, Drug Yutaka, Uniqlo, Supermarket Barrow, Japan, Hoshino Coffee, Shiga Bank Biwako Rose Town Branch, please get off at this station. The area around the station is mostly residential.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 琵琶湖ローズタウンの開発に伴って、事業者の京阪電車が全額負担した請願駅で、湖西線開業後に新設された唯一の駅。ローズタウンは開発後半世紀近く経っていて、駅の乗車客数が最盛期よりかなり減ってきているのは、ニュータウンの高齢化が関係しているのでしょう。駅の位置はびわ湖を臨む県道５５８号線（旧国道１６１号線）に面した斜面の上に立っています。駅名はこの地を本拠とした小野氏に由来し、小野妹子神社や小野道風神社が近くに在ります。
This is the only petition station that was fully borne by the operator Keihan Electric Railway with the development of Lake Biwa Rose Town, and was newly established after the opening of the Kosei Line. Lordstown has been around for nearly half a century, and the number of passengers at stations has dropped significantly since its peak, probably due to the aging of Newtown. The station is located on the slope facing Prefectural Road 558 (former National Route 161) overlooking Lake Biwa. The station name is derived from Mr. Ono, who is based in this area, and Ono no Imoko Shrine and Ono no Michikaze Shrine are nearby.
