You can see Lake Biwa from the station platform! If you come to Kinoshita Shrine, Otsu City Hall Citizens' Department Komatsu Civic Center, Family Restaurant Hirose Kotobuki, Hira Genki Village, Ume Falls, please drop here. The area around the station is a residential area with JA Lake and Post Office.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ JR湖西線の駅。朝と夜間は無人駅。駅前に駐車場があり飲食店もあるがコンビニなどはない。住宅が点在する静かな街並み。
JR Kosei Line station. Unmanned station in the morning and at night. There is a parking lot in front of the station and there are restaurants, but there is no convenience store. A quiet cityscape dotted with houses.
