週末の昼間に行って貸切状態。
紅葉の時期ならプラスα楽しめそう。

The first floor is good, but the exhibits on the second floor are also interesting. The view of the river from the window is beautiful.

だだっ広くもないので、時間がなくても立ち寄って雰囲気を感じられるかと思います。
It was a place where you can feel the history with the preservation of a fairly old building and the generator.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 水力発電所が丸ごと資料館になっており、フランシス水車と発電機がつながった状態のカットモデルを見る事が出来ます。また、地元の歴史に関する資料も展示されており、特に日露戦争時の資料は興味深いです。

苔むした外観は、寂れた良い雰囲気を出しており、感傷的になれます、
建物内部には、操業していた頃の面影を遺す水車や機材などが展示されています。
The ruins of the water power plant are being reused as a museum.
The mossy appearance gives a nice lonely atmosphere and can be sentimental,
Inside the building, water wheels and equipment that retain the remnants of the time when they were in operation are on display.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 建物は綺麗に修復されています。高い窓から挿し込む日差しの中で、役目を終えた発電機が静かにたたずんでいます。10kmも離れた恵那市から水路を作ったこと、木道をひいて人の手で資材を運んだこと。十分な技術も資材もない当時に、よくぞこれだけの施設を作って稼働させたものだと感心します。2階は、民族資料館のようになっています。年配の方には懐かしい、手回しのレコードプレーヤーや手動式の洗濯機、木箱のような氷を入れるタイプの冷蔵庫なども展示されています。
資料館内のトイレは訪問した日の3日前から水道管が凍結したままになっており、使用できませんでした。駐車場と八百津の町から徒歩で入る門の近くの屋外トイレは何故か使用できました。
The building has been beautifully restored. The generator, which has finished its role, stands quietly in the sun shining through tall windows. Creating a waterway from Ena City, which is 10km away, and pulling a wooden path to carry materials by hand. I am impressed that we often built and operated this kind of facility at a time when we lacked sufficient technology and materials. The second floor is like an ethnic museum. For the elderly, there are nostalgic record players, hand-operated washing machines, and ice-box-type refrigerators like wooden boxes.
The toilets in the archives had been frozen for three days before the visit, and the pipes could not be used. I could use the outdoor toilet near the parking lot and the gate that walked from the town of Yaotsu for some reason.

国指定重要文化財「旧八百津発電所施設」の「発電所本館」という棟名で指定されています。
