下流側の人道橋からは真正面にダムのゲートを見上げる事ができ、とても迫力があります。

展望台から眺めてからのダム事務所へ。
先日の台風、昨夜の雨の影響か、ダムでは大量の水を放水しており音も景観も大迫力でした。
おりしも、丸山ダムをかぶせるような形で、さらに巨大な新丸山ダムを建設しているとのこと。
この景観も変わっていってしまうのかな。
水は人間を潤してくれると同時に、時として苦めることもあります。
治水、いかにうまく水を治めるか。ダムのカもときとして必要だが、自然界との折り合をどうつけるか。
そのなことを考えてしまいました。

2019/5まで令和記念カードもそれぞれ貰えるので計4枚貰えます。
このダムは数年後には沈んでしまいますので、忘れないうちに来訪した方が良いかと。
なお、人道橋はつり橋で、その隣に道路橋がありますが、この道路橋はちょっと珍しい構造をしています。アーチ橋をそのままひっくり返した形をしていて構造物に興味がある方にもお勧めです。

ダムカードを頂けてありがたいです。
来客用の入口は来た道の正面の小さな扉ではなく、その右側に回ると本当の来客用入口が有ります。
