残念ながら、2020年7月11日夜大雨の影響でご神木の杉の木が倒れてしまったそうです。けが人がいなかったのは幸いでした。

その大きさは横倒しになったからこそみられる迫力あるもので、ジブリのキャラクターが飛び出して来るような不思議な雰囲気と迫力でした。

今回来たときは、幹の一部が残されていましたが、改めて見てもとても立派です。
