★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The facility houses a small museum, gift shop and a restaurant. Nice place to drink a coffee while enjoying a view of the lake. It also has a free parking lot. It’s close to the start/end of the Okutama old path trail.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The building has a small museum and exhibition hall where you can learn more about Okutama's natural environment. Seems like a fun place to bring kids! Not too crowded either. The restaurant on the second floor serves dishes with among others locally caught fish and deer. Their signature dish is called "Dam Curry" and is made to look like the Okutama-ko lake.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's non typical Tokyo's crowd, awesome montain range. For me as a tourist it's better go in winter. To find eternal serenity during winter and maybe hike the peak of Okutama's mountain range. The dam is quite awesome, there's observatory building near dam, to know more information about the area and history.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is the driving to this place as well as the views from walking around the dam that makes the visit worthwhile. Should not visit here for much else. Very peaceful and great views. You won't find visible discharges of water.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent place for nature lovers. You can enjoy trailing through the small mountains, you can see the Okutama dam that is controlling water flow to the river. Okutama lake itself is very beautiful. You can do rafting to the near Mitsuke station. But need booking in advance. There are not much convenient store and restaurant. So it's better to carry some food.
