★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 境内には入れますが、本堂の扉はしまっています。
寺務所の方に声をかければ、本堂の中で説明をしていただけるそうです。
裏の庭園に行きましたが、生活感があり雑草も生え放題で残念でした。
 I will put it in the grounds, but the main hall door is closed.
If you say to the temple office, you will be able to explain in the main hall.
I went to the back garden, but I felt disappointing with the feeling of living and weeds were all grown.

ただいま山門の西側あたりが工事中で、本堂内も立ち入り禁止となっていました。（21年9月27日現在）
東本願寺の別院で、宗祖・親鸞がここに住んでいたため、親鸞屋敷と呼ばれていました。
御本尊は阿弥陀如来です。
境内には親鸞が越後に流される時にその姿を映し、旅立たれたと伝えられる「鏡池（姿見の池）」があります。
また、初代の木は親鸞お手植えと伝えられる「八房の梅」があります。
手水舎横のイチョウの木が立派でした。
I visited on September 27, 2009.
The west side of the mountain gate is currently under construction, and the inside of the main hall is also off limits. (As of September 27, 2009)
It was called Shinran Mansion because Shinran, the founder of the temple, lived here in the annex of Higashi Honganji Temple.
The principal image is Amida Nyorai.
In the precincts, there is "Kamiike (Sugatami no Ike)", which is said to have departed, reflecting the appearance of Shinran when it was washed away in Echigo.
In addition, the first tree has "Hachifusa no Ume", which is said to be hand-planted by Shinran.
The ginkgo tree next to the Chozuya was magnificent.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Honestly, we mistook this place as Okazaki Shrine (which was actually a stone throw away from this place). Regardless, this place might be small but it's very clean and not to mention historic. I gave it a three because there is pretty much to do here.
