D	Danny Trestian on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Terrible - Note in English at entrance saying foreigners can not enter if not accompanied by a Japanese persson Today went there with my wife and at about 16:30 PM afternoon the restaurant was 90% empty. The person at the entrance pointed us to a note saying that after 4 PM can not enter the restaurant if not accompanied by a Japanesse person .....???? That is a 100% cover for clear racism and hatred against foreigners that come to visit Tokyo ... Welcome to check out the place and the note by yourselves One of the worse cultural experiences we had in wonderful Japan where most people are so welcome kind and polite and more then happy to meet foreigners even if they do not speak Japanese ( was never a problem ). Suggest that if anyone knows the owners or the right Government officials to take that behaviour of this restaurant ( that might have great food which we could not enjoy ) Imagine that the staff or owners of this restaurant came to Europe or the US and were refused entry if un accompanied by an American or local European ( with the false and fake claim that their staff does not speak English ...yes sure ....) maybe someone will take a photo of that racist note in English at the entrance ( staff points to the note ) so it will be on google until the owners re consider their discriminatory policy against tourists and foreigners *

We were interrupted in the middle of a conversation by a staff member and told that speaking non-Japanese language was annoying. This was quite surprising as we were not even having a loud conversation. Even though, the food was great, I'd suggest not going there in groups or make an effort to speak Japanese.

Around 10 years before I just order other table dish and fish to order but my memories was very yummy I will suggest they can employ know English local to do.

You can also get sashimi and other typical dishes, but really - get the grilled fish. If you sit at the bar you can watch them grilling and it's worth it. The sake is kept hot in a replica iron pot, the pottery is high quality, the food is excellent and the prices are reasonable. Do go! Try their huge onigiri (rice ball) to finish.

B	Brittany on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great lunch for under ¥1,000. Grilled fish, rice, miso soup, pickles, and mugi tea. They grill the fish in a traditional pit, in the center of this gorgeous space. I docked a star, however, because it's not English-friendly (which is absolutely there right to be). There is a sign at the register when you first walk in to order and get a ticket that says English is not used, and you have to bring a Japanese-speaking friend. There's also no pics on the menu. So know that going in if you can't speak or read Japanese.
