When you come to Karuizawa, you will always get a side dish of Aya Shiki. The taste of the broth is gentle and I really like the good feeling of the body.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 軽井沢に行った時にたまたま寄ったお店ですが、上品な味でこういうお惣菜屋さんはあまり無いなと思いました。煮穴子も本当に柔らかく炊かれていて美味しかったです。
It was a restaurant that happened by chance when I went to Karuizawa, but I thought that there wasn't much such a side dish restaurant with an elegant taste. Simmered conger eel was also really soft and delicious.

以下は、2013年に投稿した内容。テラス席、再開してほしいなぁ
愛犬との散歩の途中に立ち寄り、750円の弁当をテラスで食べた。お茶をサービスして頂いた（テラスで食べる人全員にサービスしているとの事）。
犬のリードをつなぐ金具がついた大きな切り株が随所にあって嬉しかった。軽井沢には「テラスは犬OK」という店が多いけれど、意外とリードをつなぐ場所にまで気が回っていない。特にウチのは大型犬なので、しっかりとしたつなぎ場所があると助かる。
大きなホタテ貝の煮付けなど、原価が高いと思われるおかずも入っていて値段は安いと思う。味もグッド。事前にチェックしたHPで京おばんざい料理とあったので薄すぎる味を心配したが、関東出身の私にちょうど良かった。
人工的な保存料や化学調味料は使っていないそうなので、家族用に総菜を求めて帰ったところ好評だった。妻曰く、カラスガレイの煮付けが特に絶品。
The terrace seats have been closed since 2018. No resumption scheduled as of October 2019. Shikisai's bento and side dishes can be purchased in the city garden of Karuizawa. It is possible to pick up at the Oiwake head office, but reservations are required by the previous day.
The following is the content posted in 2013. I want the terrace seats to resume.
I stopped by on my way with my dog and ate a 750 yen lunch on the terrace. I had tea served (all people who eat on the terrace).
I was glad that there were big stumps with metal fittings to connect the dog's lead. There are many shops in Karuizawa called “Deck is a dog OK”, but I don't really like the place to connect the lead. In particular, my dog is a large dog, so it is helpful to have a tight connection.
There are side dishes that seem to be expensive, such as boiled large scallops, so I think the price is low. Good taste. I was worried about the taste that was too thin because I had a pre-checked homepage with Kyoto Obanzai, but it was just right for me from Kanto.
It seems that they don't use artificial preservatives or chemical seasonings, so when they asked for a side dish for their family, they were well received. His wife says that crow simmering is particularly exquisite.

I had it at the Shikisai corner in the Karuizawa hotchi city garden. The soup stock was so good that it was awesome!
