★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 西来院（せいらいいん） - 開山は宋から来た蘭渓道隆（らんけい どうりゅう 1218年 - 1278年）である。北条時頼の招聘で蘭渓道隆は鎌倉にある建長寺の開山となった名僧であり、大覚禅師といわれ日本で禅師号最初の禅僧でもある。そして兀庵普寧（ごったん ふねい）の来日を機に、蘭渓道隆は弘長2年（1262年）建仁寺第11世住持に迎えられ、塔頭西来院の開山となった。西来院の本堂は内陣中央正面に、大覚禅師の等身木造坐像を安置している。
Seiraiin-The opening of the mountain is Lanxi Daolong (1218-1278) from Song. At the invitation of Hojo Tokiyori, Lanxi Daolong is a famous priest who opened the Kenchoji Temple in Kamakura, and is said to be the Daikaku Zen Master, the first Zen priest in Japan. Then, with the arrival of Gotan Funei in Japan, Lanxi Daolong was welcomed by the 11th priest of Kenninji Temple in 1262, and the Toto Nishiraiin was opened. The main hall of Seiraiin has a life-size wooden sitting statue of Daikaku Zenshi enshrined in front of the center of the Chancel.

門から中は立ち入り禁止となっていました。
門は開いていたので、門の外から拝観させていただきました。
門前の参道の紅葉が見事でした。
I visited on November 30, 2009.
The inside was off limits from the gate.
The gate was open, so I was able to see it from outside the gate.
The autumn leaves on the approach to the gate were wonderful.
