★ ★ ★ ★ ★ のどかな駅です。車を駐車する広いスペースはありませんが、自転車・バイクの無料駐輪場はあります。

最後に覚えてるのはメガネかけたおっさんだったな。
けっきょく一度も自動券売機が設置されることなく無人化しちゃった。
駅前に植物が植えてあって、そのまわりが小さなロータリーになってた時代もあった。冬になるとその植物に電飾がほどこされてライトアップされたりもしてた。
今はその植物があった場所はアスファルトの色が違うってぐらいしか確認できない。
まぁ時代だよね。
結局 学生のうち、しかも車を運転しない高校生までしか使わない路線。
JR東日本も大赤字だけど、生活路線として残さないと沿線ではいろいろ支障をきたすからね。とてもSuica対応なんて望めたもんじゃない。
１時間に１本間隔で、しかも時間を潰す場所も駅前にない。少子高齢化のこの時代、残念だけど衰退してく一方なんだよな。
ただ烏山線の車両がキハ40だったりアキュムだったりするから一部の鉄ちゃんウケは悪くなさそうだけど、あまり鉄ちゃん狙いの商売しても治安とかマナーの問題もあるし、周辺環境の活性化にはなり得ないよね。
いずれなくなっちゃうのかねぇ。

スピード、道の真ん中で急停車・急バック。運転してはいけないレベル。品位を疑う。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 駅名は旧熟田(にいた)村から。高根沢町にある大正12年開業の無人駅。平成25年に今の新駅舎に。駅近くにはヤマザキショップやラーメン屋があります。
The station name is from the former Niita village. An unmanned station in Takanezawa Town that opened in 1918. In 2013 to the current new station building. There are Yamazaki shops and ramen shops near the station.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 小さいけど、何となくいいなって思わせる駅です。(駅の)中には、地元高校の、写真部の作品があって、とても素敵です。(本数が少ないですが)いつまでも、この駅が残ってほしいと願います。
