★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 店内は、店外と完全に分かれたレイアウトになっているので、静かに落ち着いて食事ができます。また、客席から配膳場が見えるので、信頼感を持てます。サービスは丁寧で、店内は清潔感がありました。
ランチに、西京焼き御膳を食べました。西京焼きは、独特の薄口の味付けでした。おかずは、やや薄口、味噌汁は、濃い色（赤味噌・豆味噌か？）でした。
 The interior of the restaurant is completely separated from the outside of the restaurant, so you can have a quiet and calm meal. In addition, you can have a sense of trust because you can see the serving area from the audience seats. The service was polite and the interior was clean.
For lunch, I ate Saikyo Yakimono set. Saikyo-yaki was a unique light seasoning. The side dishes were slightly light, and the miso soup was a dark color (red miso or bean miso?).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Delicious Kyoto obanzai. Set menus at lunch time are generous. Fresh tofu and their signature nana salad (like a Caesar made with local ingredients, walnuts, and covered with a sheet of yuba) are a win! Get a sunken table in the semi private dining area: bliss.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Just bad; the interior and atmosphere is nice and suggest a high class restaurant, but the quality of the food is absolutely disappointing. Service is average at best.
We had dinner here and ordered a teishoku with meat, fish, salad, miso-soup and small dishes such as obanzai and tsukemono etc.
First red flag was the rice; if the rice is not good, it speaks volume of a Japanese restaurant. When we ate there it was mushy, so either over cooked or a cheap grade, probably both.
The meat was very little and rather tough as the piece contained a tendon in the middle. Considering it was the main dish, rather disappointing.
The salad was made with cheap supermarket dressing (it tasted exactly like a brand I had bought myself before) containing MSG (nothing bad about that per se, but we would rather expect that at a cheap family restaurant, not this kind of place).
Finally, there was a hair in the sashimi(!) Finding one is bad enough, but if it is in raw fish, which requires a rather high level of hygiene, I’m getting worried.
I wanted to like this place and it looked so promising and nice, but regretfully it was a complete disappointment. It felt like a carelessly run chain store, at least the mediocre food and rather gloomy mood of the staff gave this impression. Would rather stay away, there are so many excellent restaurants in the area...

Good ambiance and great food.
For lunch try the special menu(only ~10 people can get this dish)
Located in Coredo opposite to Nihombashi mitsukoshi department store. Easily accessible.
