★ ★ ★ ★ ★ １９８６年８月に訪れました。詩碑の上に立つ牧水像は初代のものです。ポーズが少し違いますね。
I visited in August 1986. The statue of Makimizu standing on a poetry monument is the first generation. The pose is a little different.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 今のように交通の便が良くない頃に牧水が到来た 昔道の一部が 残っており 空気もよく川の水もきれいで ゆっくり 散策すれば 道路の脇に時々牧水の歌や 説明が書かれております 牧水が草津温泉へ 行きに帰りに 通られた 峠です
The pasture arrived when transportation was not as convenient as it is now. A part of the old road remains, the air is good and the river water is clean. It is a pass where the pasture was passed back to Kusatsu Onsen.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 以前の像が金属泥棒に持ち逃げされ、石像に変わりました。道を挟んだ反対側には広い駐車場がありますが、今となっては訪れる人も少ないようです。無人の峠でヒグラシの声を聴きながら、自然の息吹を感じる事が出来ました。
The old statue was taken away by a metal thief and turned into a stone statue. There is a large parking lot on the opposite side of the road, but it seems that few people visit now. I was able to feel the breath of nature while listening to the voice of Higurashi on an unattended pass.
