★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 仙台市営地下鉄東西線、薬師堂駅から徒歩数分にある、聖武天皇によって建立された国分寺の1つです。創建は奈良時代の740年代頃とされています。伊達政宗公により再興され、大寺院として繁栄したそうです。国の重要文化財と、国の史跡に指定されています。周辺は公園としても整備されており、子供連れでも散策できそうです。静かで落ち着いた佇まいの中、ゆったりとした時間を過ごせそうです。
It is one of the Kokubunji temples built by Emperor Shomu, a few minutes' walk from Yakushido Station on the Sendai Municipal Subway Tozai Line. It was founded around the 740s in the Nara period. It was revived by Date Masamune and prospered as a large temple. It is designated as a national important cultural property and a national historic site. The surrounding area is also maintained as a park, so even children can take a walk. It seems that you can spend a relaxing time in a quiet and calm appearance.

It is very close to Yakushido Station on the Sendai City Subway Tozai Line. Take a leisurely tour of the historic sites that pray for the peace of the ancient times. If you walk for about 10 minutes, you can see the temple built on the site of Kokubun Nanji.

無料のガイダンス施設も近くにあるので、歴史に触れて学ぶのも良いです。
私は、どちらかと言うと隣接している木ノ下公園を散歩をしてから、陸奥国分寺薬師堂にお参りをして 、最後に鳩に餌をあげるのが定番です。(鳩のえさは一袋50円で販売してます)
参拝者駐車場があるのも有難いです?
