Okami/mom is a very nice lady.
The food is delicious no matter what you eat.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent izakaya - be warned that in snow season you must have a reservation! Come in a day or two before to reserve. About 20 people came in asking for a table and were turned away. Worth it, fantastic food, great atmosphere. Recommend the yakitori (grilled chicken) and miso hot pot.

They have tables sitting on the floor, bar counter seating and one table with a pot in the middle. There was quite a number of locals inside.
Again, we ordered almost everything on the menu, except the horse sashimi and the hot pot.
For 4 pax, our bill was ¥11,000.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The best Izakaya in Nozawa! The lady/boss takes orders and serves food by herself. She is so lovely and cute. As it was empty due to covid, it was sad but we were lucky we could have a good conversation with her!
It's right in front of Furusato no Yu. The seafood is amazingly fresh and the quality of meat are amazing too. It's sooooooo tasty. They're getting the best ingredients from Nagano and the Japanese sea area. Ok the menu is not so much but it looks only one or two people were working in the kitchen. We went twice during our stay and we will definitely come back!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This unassuming corner lot was actually one of the highly reviewed local bar in the area. We managed to get reservations thanks to our hotel. Most people were turned away after we came in.
Its served by the lady owner and menu is rather limited. But there must be some kitchen staff behind the scenes cooking up fresh and delicious bites, like horse sashimi and salt grilled shishamo.
