それほど大きく無い駅ですが、伏見散策には便利な駅ですよ！
日本で初めて?市電が走った場所だそうです。
駅には龍馬のパネルが有りましたよ！

竜馬通りと、憧れの寺田屋！
左下は、柱の刀㾗横で殺られたふりをしています。
はしゃぎ過ぎました(笑)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 令和３年４月８日、当日は夕刻に訪れました。何時もの人出が空いてる時間帯を想定していましたが、定期券を買い並ぶ人の多さで季節感を感じました。今年は桜?開花も早く既に一面葉桜。コロナ禍で訪問客も落ち着く中、タイミング早く花見をお勧めですね。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 京阪電車、宇治方面の乗り換え駅です！徒歩5.6分で旨いつけ麺屋もあり、酒の街らしく、喫煙所の椅子が石の樽！
It is a transfer station for Keihan train and Uji! There is also a delicious tsukemen shop within a 5.6 minute walk, and the chairs in the smoking area are stone barrels, like a liquor town!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 駅の機能としては特急も停まるしホームにコンビニやATM、食事処があって非常に便利。
反面、北口改札を出たところのロータリーに違法待機するタクシーや送迎車が歩行者の動線を塞いでて非常に邪魔。
あと喫煙場所から煙が大量にやってくるのが不快。
この2点を改善して欲しい。
