★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 新馬場駅から徒歩5分ほど、大龍寺という黄檗宗のお寺の駐車場にある、大きなシイノキです。シイノキの巨木によくある事ですが少しばかり幹が朽ちており、ウレタンフォームで塞ぐ処置をした跡があります。大切にされているのですね。この辺りでこんなに大きなシイノキはあまり見かけないので、保存樹に指定されているようです。
お寺は墓参の方のために門を開いているので、駐車場のシイノキのところまでは入ることが出来ます。見にゆかれるのであらば、せっかくですから本堂を拝観したり、池の錦鯉を眺めて帰ってはどうでしょう。
 It is a large castanopsis in the parking lot of the Obaku sect temple called Dairyu-ji, about a 5-minute walk from Shimbamba Station. As is often the case with giant castanopsis trees, the trunk has decayed a little, and there are traces of treatment to block it with urethane foam. It is cherished, isn't it? I don't see many such large castanopsis around here, so it seems that it is designated as a preserved tree.
The temple has an open gate for those who visit the grave, so you can enter the parking lot of Shiinoki. If you're going to see it, why don't you visit the main hall or look at the Nishikigoi pond and go home?
