★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 経王山本光寺。顕本法華宗系単立の寺院です。永徳2年(1382年)、真言宗寺院として創建されました。御本尊は釈迦如来です。立派な山門を抜けると本堂、鐘楼、多宝塔、三重塔などがあります。新馬場駅から徒歩で約3分です。
Keio Yamamoto Kouji Temple. It is a stand-alone temple of the Kempon Hokke sect. It was built in 1382 as a Shingon Buddhist temple. The principal image is Shaka Nyorai. After passing through the magnificent mountain gate, you will find the main hall, bell tower, Tahoto, and three-storied pagoda. It is about a 3-minute walk from Shimbamba Station.

I visited because I could see the tower. There was also a bell and I wanted to ring it, but it didn't come true.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 初詣と母校の駅伝の応援で品川神社を訪れたが、余りの混雑に回避。目黒川に架かる橋を渡った所に寺院の伽藍を見た。走者の到着には時間があるので境内を散策させて貰った。国道からは本堂に隠れて見えなかったが、古い三重塔が静かに建っていた。
I visited Shinagawa Shrine with the support of the first visit and the relay road race of my alma mater, but I avoided it because it was too crowded. I saw the temple's cathedral across the bridge over the Meguro River. Since the runners have time to arrive, I took a walk around the precincts. Although it was hidden behind the main hall from the national highway, an old three-storied pagoda was quietly built.
