浄土真宗のお寺、大井山光福寺の中にあります。
散歩の途中で偶然見かけました。
木の前には、この木の特徴や歴史などが書かれた立て札がありました。
それによると、高さは40メートルもあり、樹齢は約800年だそうです！！
大きな幹には鍾乳洞のように垂れたコブ(乳根というそう)がついていて、歴史を感じます。
訪問時は春だったので、小さな黄緑の葉がたくさんついていました。
雄樹なので実はなりません。
It is a natural monument designated by Shinagawa City.
It is located in the temple of Jodo Shinshu, Oiyama Kofukuji Temple.
I happened to see it during the walk.
In front of the tree, there was a billboard on which the characteristics and history of this tree were written.
According to it, the height is 40 meters and the tree is about 800 years old! !
The big trunk has a hump that looks like a limestone cave (a so-called milk root), and you can feel the history.
It was spring when I visited, so there were many small yellow-green leaves.
It's a male tree, so it doesn't really happen.
