★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you're searching for good Italian food in Kawaramachi, this is definitely the place you're looking for.
As an italian myself, the pizza was really good, with a good dough and high quality ingredients - just like the fresh pasta with tomato and burrata, a must if you come here. The rice ball is also not bad at all.
The waiter has been very cordial, and also gave have us a 10% discount for another time.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ As a Swiss couple, we came here looking for a salad and some simple food after a coule of weeks in Japan. We were blown away by the quality of the food served. I had pesto spaghetti and she had the special pasta with truffle. The service was polite and fast, the prices were very reasonable. The salad and vinaigrette were really good. The pasta and sauces cooked to perfection. A wonderful experience in the middle of our Japanese tour. I would love to have time to eat here again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Their lunch set was incredible. You get pizza, soda, a pasta dish, and salad for 900¥! *Warning* The pizza for their buffet is cold and not fresh. If you specifically want pizza, I would buy a pizza by itself. My favorites were their garlic bread and margarita pizza. The pizza was clearly fresh out of the oven. If you come during lunch, the prices are 500¥-1000¥ cheaper compared to dinner. You can ask for an English menu and the staff know basic English.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ So many parfaits if every flavour! From coffee to chocolate and even desert savoury flavours like ones that look like takoyaki or shrimp but all are just sweet desserts.
Also if you're adventurous and hungry there are gigantic feast of a parfait to try too!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Capricciosa is a chain restaurant. Flavor is above average for most Japanese Italian restaurants, and consistent across all their stores. Was surprised to find this one in Kyoto! Good food, reasonable prices. Their signature menu dish is the rice croquette ball with tomato sauce (photo added).
