The "Maruyama Castle Ruins" secured a strategic location for transporting troops and supplies to Tottori Castle and Tottori Castle. Normally, supplies were carried in and out of the Sea of ​​Japan, but Hideyoshi Hashiba's attack on China suppressed the sea route. It led to the fall of Tottori Castle. "Maruyama" is just a low mountain with a bowl turned upside down. The summit is fairly large and roughly rectangular, but it is desolate. However, the mountain road to the summit is clear It remains, so you won't get lost. Two old trees are alive on the summit. And the stone Buddha also protects the mountaintop. The entrance to the ruins of the castle is from the Yamashiro-cho side. The castle owner, Nasa Nihonnosuke, and Shioji Suo Mamoru Takakiyo, who came to join us after the defeat of Gankinjo, protected this mountain castle. Upon receiving the news of the fall of Tottori Castle, the two slashed themselves after the Yoshikawa Keiya on October 25, 1945. At the foot of Maruyama, along the prefectural road, a memorial stone monument for both names is built opposite the road near the entrance of the "Jubako Ryokuchi" park. A single old tabno tree protects the stone monument.
