★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 一応山城跡のようですが、道が草とクモの巣だらけで危険極まりなく肝心の山頂には城跡を思わせるものが何もなく山頂の看板だけ残っている状態で城跡として意味をなしていません。
 Although it seems to be a mountain castle ruin, the road is full of grass and spider webs, and there is no danger at the top of the mountain where there is no sign of the castle at the heart of the mountain.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 網代に登山口のある浦富アルプスルートでたどり着きましたが、桐山城跡の主郭は素人目にもよくわかる広大さ。正面側からは急登であり山城らしさがある。
We arrived at the Uratomi Alps route, which has a mountaineering entrance in Amiiro, but the main fortress of Kiriyama Castle is large enough to be easily understood by amateurs. It is a steep climb from the front side and has the character of Yamashiro.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 20191104 桐山城の上リ口が分かりました。後日山城へ上がります。
｢桐山城」は築城後は廃城同然となっていましたが、天正元年(1573年)
武将山中鹿之助が突如隙をついて、
尼子家の再興と中国地方への進出を図るために乱入し｢桐山城」を拠点にしました。
鹿之助は但馬の日本海から船で岩本に上陸して来ました。
天正3年(1575年)2月、但馬の毛利党で｢桐山城」城主垣屋豊続が吉川元春に奪還を要請しています。
この間山中鹿之助は｢甑山」にも拠点を築いており勢い盛んでした。
毛利方は｢桐山城」を軍事の最前線と位置付けており吉川元春が軍勢を因幡の国に進めて山中鹿之助を追い払っています。
鳥取藩池田家の治世になりますと、
鵜殿家が城下に陣屋を構えて城下町を整備、藩主から統治を事実上任されます。地元の方は鵜殿さんで通じます。
城下の浦富は今も当時の面影が色濃いく残っています。
