★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a nice place to visit when I'm hunting down Snowboard deals in Kanda. It's on the way back to the Jimbocho train station based on the route I walk. Come out of the A5 exit, turn left and start walking. When you see London sports shop on the opposite side of the road cross over and head back way you came. You will pass it.. eventually, on your left. Big glass front and if you are there after say 1215 a long line. No fussing about here. Get in line, check the menus, point to which one you want, grab a tray and plate. Walk down the line picking the tempura you want and when you get to the end they will have your bowl ready. Pay and find a seat, doesn't matter where. I got a medium bowl of Duck Soup Udon, with Squid tempura, kabocha and the twisty vegetable tempura or kakiage.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I discovered this chain of restaurants when I was in Kyoto, but have since regularly used them for lunch and quick diner. Their thick noodles are always super fresh and tastefull. They have a picture based menu so ordering is very easy if you don't speak Japanese. On top of the set noodle dishes you can add as much tempura fried sides as you like. Water and fried/spring union toppings come for free. You can easily stuff yourself for around 1000 yen.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the best restaurants in the area. You get simple food and English speaking people have no problems. The prices are very low and the sizes of the dishes very big. I can also recommend the side dishes, like chicken, vegetables or shrimps. This shop is extraordinary.
