小さいし空いてないし、東福寺の帰りにたまたま通りかかったので覗いてみました

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 非公開寺院。28年前、僕はこの近くに住んでいた。京都五山の一つ。そんな縁起あるこのお寺を毎日のように目にしていたはずなのに、あまり覚えていない。2017年9月9日に歩いて、「俺は学生の頃、京の何を見ていたんだ」と愕然とした。京は歴史の宝庫だ、いまさらゆうても遅いが、本当にそう思います。
Private temple. 28 years ago, I lived near here. One of Kyoto Gozan. I don't remember much, though I should have seen this auspicious temple every day. Walking on September 9, 2017, I was appalled, "What did I look at in Kyoto when I was a student?" Kyo is a treasure trove of history.

During the Muromachi period, the temple was ranked fifth in the five mountains of Kyoto. At that time, it boasted a vast temple area to the west of Takakura-dori and south of Manjuji-dori in Rakuchu. The bell tower, which is also the gate, is an important cultural property of the country, but the precincts are not open to the public.

残念ながら一般公開はされておらず、外にいらっしゃる人もなかったので入口で写真のみ撮らせて頂きました。
I went around Kyoto Gozan and visited on foot from Tofukuji Temple.
Unfortunately, it wasn't open to the public, and no one was outside, so I took only a photo at the entrance.
