★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Incredibly disappointed that when we arrived an hour and a half before they closed the staff talked amongst themselves in japanese before saying they couldnt accomodate us for a simple dessert.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Regret coming here. For a high end hotel the service was pretty bad. Plates weren't cleared, and we were given the bill as we were eating. I asked if they were closing but it was 7pm.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Walking distance from the kyoto station. The staffs greet us warmly while we are here and the service is good. Halal menu is available and the portion provided for one meal is more than enough. Good ambience and good food.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We stayed in the hotel for a week and the breakfast was included but even so we only went twice.
It is super busy and most of the food is good by the time you get it. The scrambled eggs were not nice. To be fair we are vegetarians which we knew was tough going into it in Japan but even the hash browns had a sign saying they contain pork.
At one point my daughter, a Japanese speaker, asked the waiter if a certain dish was meat free and he said yes. When it arrived it had great chunks of ham in it.
Even the draw of a free breakfast isn't enough to get me back.
The meat thing isn't the reason for the had review, this place is just not good.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Halal dining. Request for the halal menu. Food is excellent. They even use separate utensils for halal meals. Do call to make reservations. They do speak English.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It’s a wonderful location. The food was delicious and the buffet menu has a wide variety of fruits, breads and egg-dishes !
But the service is bad. I really wanted to give a good review because i enjoy this trip.
