あ	あおとみしょう on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 2022年3月27日のまん延防止措置の開けた日曜日にランチに訪問しました。お昼時で30分程待ちでした。座席をすべて埋めるのではなく、配膳できる範囲でお客様を案内しているように感じました。店内はゆったりしていて、遮蔽板設置で感染対策がしっかりととられていました。いただいたのは、うなぎ丼1500円、海老と旬菜の天ぷらうどん(温)1400円、京湯葉丼1080円。いずれも美味しく、お値段もリーズナブルでした。係のかたに席に案内頂いて、レジで注文、配膳頂くシステムです。併設の売店も品の良いお土産がおいてあり、楽しめます。星４つの理由は、キャッシュ・オンリーなところです。 I visited for lunch on Sunday, March 27, 2022, when the spread prevention measures were opened. The inside of the store was spacious, and infection control was taken firmly by installing a shielding plate. I received 1500 yen for eel bowl, 1400 yen for tempura udon (warm) with shrimp and seasonal vegetables, and 1080 yen for Kyoto yuba bowl. Both were delicious and the prices were reasonable. It is a system where the person in charge guides you to your seat, orders and serves at the cash register. You can also enjoy good souvenirs at the shop. The reason for the four stars is that it is cash only.

P	Paul Walsh on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ After over 25 years in Japan, I finally had the opportunity to try "curry udon" thanks to this tastefully designed restaurant in Kyoto Gyoen. The udon, served in thick Japanese style curry sauce came with some tasty chunky vegetables and was very filling and warming in a chilly day. To be honest, it was a little heavy for me and I think I would have preferred the lighter vegan udon featuring ume picked plum, but who's complaining! It was awesome to have to choose from 4 vegan options in a major tourist site; a surfeit of riches for a vegan in Japan!! My only gripe was that it was a little disappointing that they don't allow people to fill their water bottles here. ※The curry udon is also pork free and labeled as "Halal", though "Muslim-friendly" may be a more appropriate description - worth checking for Muslim travelers.
