魔	魔法少女さくら on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 土讃線の駅で琴平町の代表駅です。土讃線の運用上の拠点駅になっていて、電化非電化の境目になる駅です。多度津方面は電化されていて、高松駅まで直通する普通列車が多数運転されています。一方で阿波池田方面は、この先高知県の土佐山田駅まで長い長い四国山地越えになり、普通列車の本数は激減します。本堂まで785段、奥の院まで1368段のひたすら長い階段があることで有名な、観光地のこんぴらさんこと金刀比羅宮の最寄り駅です。近隣にある琴電琴平駅のほうが若干近いですが、ここからでも徒歩圏内です。ホームは2面3線に加えて、駅舎に面したホームを切り欠いた1番線があり折り返しの普通列車が使用します。この乗り場も4両編成に対応しているのもあってか、高松方面へ折り返す普通列車がよく使用しています。 It is a station on the Dosan Line and is the representative station of Kotohira Town. N (みすたぁ) on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 全ての特急が止まる便利な駅ですが、トイレが駅構内になく外付けです。公衆トイレ感が否めません。便利な点では駅構内にセブンイレブンがあるので飲み物や食糧には困りません。みどりの窓口が一つしかないのはちょっと不足感を抱きました。JRにおける金比羅観光の中心駅らしく、もうちょっとスペックが高くても良いかなと感じました。 It is a convenient station where all limited express trains stop, but there is no toilet inside the station and it is external.
