★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 前回多度津駅に降りたったのが1992年の9月。少林寺拳法正拳士四段昇格考試の時だった。だいぶ町並みも変ったように感じた。駅からみえる少林寺拳法連盟本部の大雁塔は変わらなかった。
 The last time I got off at Tadotsu station was September 1992. It was the time of the Shorinji Kempo 4th Dan promotion examination. I felt that the townscape had changed a lot. The Great Wild Goose Pagoda at the headquarters of the Shaolin Temple Kenpo Federation, which can be seen from the station, has not changed.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 四国まんなか千年ものがたりの始発駅。
寝ブッチを防ぐためにこの駅の周辺に宿を取ったが、ＪＲの分岐点にも関わらず何もない。駅近くのコンビニは２４時間営業でなく、慌てて食料・飲料を買いだめ。ＪＲ職員御用達の食堂はその日休み。
観光列車には無事乗れたが、次は食堂に行けばもう十分かな。得た知見としては、少林寺拳法が多度津由来らしいこと，駅から徒歩圏のＪＲ四国の変電所は見て趣深かったこと。
The first station of the Shikoku Mannaka Millennium Story.
I took an inn around this station to prevent sleeping butch, but there is nothing despite the JR fork. The convenience store near the station is not open 24 hours a day, so hurry up and stock up on food and beverages. The cafeteria used by JR staff is closed that day.
I got on the sightseeing train safely, but I wonder if it's enough to go to the cafeteria next time. The knowledge I got was that Shorinji Kempo seems to be derived from Tadotsu, and that the JR Shikoku substation within walking distance from the station was interesting to see.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ここの駅ではJR貨物の列車に会うのが楽しみです。多度津駅は電化されていますけれど時には阿波池田駅からのキハ1000型もやってきます。ここから高松駅まではJR四国唯一の複線区間となります。
I'm looking forward to seeing the JR Freight train at this station. Tadotsu station is electrified, but sometimes Kiha 1000 type from Awa-Ikeda station also comes. From here to Takamatsu Station is the only double-track section of JR Shikoku.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 土讃線の起点駅。
留置線が多く見てて楽しい駅。昔は古い車輌を多く留置していたが最近はあまり見かけません。
鉄道遺産的な蒸気機関車時代の給水塔が残されています。
今は使われてませんが古い跨線橋もノスタルジーです。残念ながら現在は渡れません。いずれ取り壊されるのかな？
新しい跨線橋はキレイで広々としてます。
駅舎北東側に蒸気機関車が展示されてます。
運転室には入れませんが見学が可能です。
「四国まんなか千年ものがたり」の始発駅なので金土日祝の午前中なら見ることが出来ます。
キハ185のディーゼルサウンドがカッコいいです。
カラーリングもお上品でキレイです。
The starting station of the Dosan Line.
A fun station with many detention lines. In the past, many old vehicles were detained, but these days I don't see many.
The water tower of the steam locomotive era, which is a railway heritage site, remains.
The old overpass, which is no longer in use, is also nostalgic. Unfortunately, I can't cross now. Will it be demolished someday?
The new overpass is clean and spacious.
A steam locomotive is on display on the northeast side of the station building.
You cannot enter the driver's cab, but you can tour.
Since it is the first station of "Shikoku Mannaka Millennium Story", you can see it in the morning on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.
The diesel sound of Kiha 185 is cool.
The coloring is also elegant and beautiful.
