 Station with good atmosphere of local line. There is only a private house in front of the station in a very quaint station.

様変わりしてましたが、駅前のクスノキと桜の木がまだあったのが感動‼️
A station that I got off when I was little.
Although it changed, it was impressive that there were still camphor trees and cherry trees in front of the station. ️

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 所在地は「さいた」だが、なぜか「さいだ」と濁る駅名。大正末期から昭和の初めまで終着駅だった。
財田町の外れにあるため利用客は少ない。
The location is "Saita", but for some reason the station name is muddy as "Saida". It was the terminal station from the end of the Taisho era to the beginning of the Showa era.
Since it is located on the outskirts of Saita-cho, there are few passengers.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 秘境駅ではないが静かで人があまり来ない駅。列車もあまり通りません。しかし、特急がそこそこのスピードで通り過ぎて行くのは圧巻。上り線を通過する2700系はカッコイイです。
It's not an unexplored station, but it's quiet and not crowded. Trains don't pass much either. However, it is a masterpiece that the limited express passes by at a moderate speed. The 2700 series that passes through the up line is cool.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 駅舎横のタブノキの存在感が圧倒的です。
踏切を越えて南に行くと、徳島の箸蔵寺に通じる山道があります。通称箸蔵街道といい、四国のみちの標識があります。あまり知られていないですが、山登りの好きな方は試してみては？
帰りは箸蔵駅から乗れば戻って来られます。
The presence of Machilus thunbergii next to the station building is overwhelming.
If you cross the railroad crossing and go south, there is a mountain road leading to Hashikura Temple in Tokushima. Known as the Hashikura Highway, there is a sign for Shikoku. It's not well known, but if you like mountain climbing, why not give it a try?
You can come back from Hashikura Station.
