★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 小泉大塚古墳同様、なぜ、こうも前方部が削平されているのでしょう…。5世紀末から6世紀始めに築造されたと思われる、全長約100メートル、後円部径約75メートル高さ14メートル、前方部幅約50メートル高さ約6メートルの前方後円墳（帆立貝式に近い）だった可能性があるそうです。伺う前までは墳形はわからなかったのですが、散策前にグーグルアースで所在地の確認をした瞬間、見た目円墳ですがこれ前方後円墳やないん？と。調べてみたら数奇な運命。墳丘は壊されるわ、フェンスで隔離やわ…なんもいえねぇ。詳しくは、大和郡山市教育委員会1992 六道山古墳 第二次緊急発掘調査報告書にて見て下さい。（涙）?

A keyhole-shaped tumulus with a total length of about 100 meters, a rear circle diameter of about 75 meters and a height of 14 meters, and a front width of about 50 meters and a height of about 6 meters, which seems to have been built from the end of the 5th century to the beginning of the 6th century.
