薬剤師が知り合いの人と話していてヤル気が感じられず、パートの方がそこそこ働いているのが不憫に思えます。
 The store itself may be small, but the number of items is small, so the number of users is small.
The pharmacist is talking to someone I know and I don't feel like I'm sick, and it seems pitiful that the part-time worker is working reasonably well.
