★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Oh my god!!!! The best udon I’ve ever had in japan. I got the kitsune udon set the second time here and it was the best decision I’ve made in Osaka. Thank you so much for this experience. The chefs are extremely dedicated to their work. A true masterpiece. Thank you thank you thank you.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place has the perfect combination of great food and a charming atmosphere. The cooks here are quick to explain how to eat things on the menu that might be new for tourists. My friend and I stayed in Osaka for about a week, and we ate here at least three times. Honestly, I ordered the same dish each time—Donki—with udon (of course), delicious eggplant (grilled and fragrant), chicken meatballs and green onion. The sochu with soda water and ginger is also GREAT! Please just go. You must.
The Katsudon with cold noodles is also delicious. Get that too.

They don't have an English menu so you might have a hard time here if you can't read Japanese, but all of the menu items have pictures.

Simple yet delicious udon, watching quietly the three owners go about as they make your food is a refreshing moment from the hussle and bussle of your day. Food here is quick, affordable and tasty. Highly recommend if your looking for a hearty meal and a bit of idle food making/watching.
