【2021.03.06訪問】 美味しいとんかつがあるから行こうと誘われて行ってきたのは人形町にかつ好(かつよし)さんです。人形町駅って普段降りないのですが名店がたくさんあるイメージがあります。 かつ好さんは食べログとんかつ百名店2021に選出されたお店ということもあって期待も高まりつつ訪問しました。もう看板から名店の匂い漂いますね。 入店して案内されて予約してもらった2階の席へ。お店は木を使った和の趣きで清潔感があって良いですね。落ち着いて食事もできてスタッフさんの対応もキビキビしていて良かったです。 ◆ ヒレかつ 150g ¥1850 メニューは至ってシンプルで5種類ほどでした。メインはヒレかつとロースかつのとんかつですかね。僕はヒレかつの150gをセレクトしました。グラムでの選択ができるのは良いですね。110〜250gと幅があるのでその時の食欲や食べたい量で選べるので女性でも食べやすいのではないのかなと思います。 肝心のとんかつですがメチャクチャ美味しかったです。実は普段そんなにとんかつを食べないし、そんなに好きなお料理でもないのですがかつ好さんのとんかつならいつでも食べたいと思う美味しさでしたね。まずは衣がサクサクで軽いのが嬉しくなりますね。揚げ物なのに重さが一切ないんですよ。 さら噛んでいくとお肉にたどり着きます。柔らかいお肉はジューシーなのですが適度な硬さ、適度な脂身で無駄がないという言葉がピッタリだなと思いました。 また飽きない工夫として調味料が3種類用意されています。左からソース、梅塩、ワサビになっています。すべて試しましたがどれも美味しいので交互に変えながら食べたくなりますね。

The main dish is fillet cutlet and loin cutlet pork cutlet. I selected 150g of fillet. It's nice to be able to make choices in grams. Since it ranges from 110 to 250g, you can choose according to your appetite and the amount you want to eat, so I think it's easy for women to eat. It's a pork cutlet, but it was delicious. Actually, I don't usually eat tonkatsu so much, and I don't like it so much, but Katsuyoshi's tonkatsu was so delicious that I always wanted to eat it. First of all, I'm glad that the batter is crispy and light. Even though it's fried food, it doesn't weigh at all. If you chew more, you will reach the meat. The tender meat is juicy, but I think the word "moderate hardness, moderate fat and lean" is perfect. In addition, three types of seasonings are prepared as a device that you will not get tired of. From the left, the sauce, plum salt, and wasabi. I tried all of them, but they are all delicious, so I want to eat them while changing them alternately.

Went in at 6:20pm Thursday in the very narrow street. I saw the master chef through the window glass in side view chopping some pork. Hurriedly, I opened the door and he immediately turned his head sideways without losing his bowed posture and said "IRASSHAIMASE" - I immediately felt the intensity of the place with his eyes. Strong but kind eye contact and he quickly said the store is reserved and full. I will come back again definitely to try this mysterious restaurant.

This place is just great. It may be difficult to find as it is on a small street but google can definitely help. The restaurant is very clean and the chefs very welcoming and friendly. They may not be able to speak English but no worries, they can help you choose. I would advise the "Ros Katsu"(Loin) and "Hire katsu"(Tenderloin, less fatty). I hear the "koroke"(croquettes) are also delicious. It is a bit expensive as you will pay 1900 yen for 150g of loin but it is definitely worth the price. If you have some time please go there without waiting.

The quality of food are pretty good. The environment is quiet and they have English menu. To be honest, it is a decent Tonkatsu restaurant with good services. But I think the issue might be price. You have to order rice and miso soup separately and additionally. In average I feel you may need to prepare 2500 JPY /per person, and definitely you can find the same quality but 30% cheaper Tonkatsu in Tokyo.
